Is MDR Right for You?

My name is Steve Long, and I am the President and CEO of Hancock Health and Hancock Regional Hospital here in Greenfield, Indiana.

As we have often said, we were kind of averagely prepared for a cyber event. We had kind of a hodgepodge of things. We had one company that scanned the network. We had another one that was doing the penetration testing. We had cyber liability insurance. We had our own internal systems as well. So I would say that we had pieced together a protective system that was pretty average. And then, we learned that pretty average is not good enough, and we were attacked. It was in the subsequent hours of that attack, if not moments, that we met the fine team from Pondurance.
